Checkmate Live brand assets
Official Checkmate Live logos, colours, typefaces and media assets for press and partners. Everything here is free to use as supplied — please don't redraw, recolour or rebuild it.
Product screenshots
Full-resolution stills of the platform, free to use in coverage. Games are played face to face over live video embedded in the platform — the screens show it.

The logo
Two marks, and only two. The full logotype is the default. The icon is for places the logotype won't fit legibly — an avatar, a favicon, a small badge. The flat purple is the primary treatment in every context; the gradient is the alternative, for feature use on dark.

Clear space and minimum size
Leave clear space on all four sides equal to the height of the bolt. Nothing sits inside it — no type, no rules, no image edges, no other logo. Don't reproduce the logotype below 96 px wide on screen or 24 mm in print; below that, use the icon.
Backgrounds
Three grounds: black, off-white, and the brand purple. Use the colourway supplied for the ground rather than recolouring the mark. On photography, use a solid panel or a scrim dark enough to keep the mark clearly legible. The “Powered by” lockup shown here is for partner and production credits only — it is not a logo substitute and never replaces the primary logotype.

What not to do
- Use the supplied vector files, unaltered.
- Scale proportionally, at any size above the minimum.
- Give the mark its clear space.
- Default to the flat purple — it is the primary mark.
- Don't recolour the mark or apply effects, shadows or outlines to it.
- Don't stretch, rotate, crop or redraw it.
- Don't set the name in all caps in running text to match the wordmark.
- Don't place it on a busy image or a low-contrast ground.
- Don't lock it up with another mark as though it were one brand.
- Don't rebuild the logotype in a typeface — it is custom artwork, supplied as vector outlines.
Asian Chess Federation mark
Checkmate Live is the exclusive online partner for the Asian Chess Federation and operates the official ACF Echess competition. Where coverage or collateral needs the federation mark alongside ours, use the crest supplied here. It is a third-party mark: use it as supplied, never modify it, and never lock it up as though it were a Checkmate Live sub-brand.
Co-branded lockups pairing the two marks need approval first — ask us at hello@checkmate.live before publishing one.
Colour
Black is the default ground. The purple carries the brand. These values are for screen and broadcast — there is no print or merchandise system, so no Pantone or CMYK equivalents are published.
Typefaces
Two typefaces, both open source and free to use. Sora Semibold sets headlines, navigation and labels. Inter sets body copy, tables and data. If neither is available to you, substitute a clean neutral sans — never a display or script face. The wordmark itself is custom artwork supplied as vector outlines; there is no need to license the typeface it was drawn from, and no reason to re-set it.
Boilerplate
Approved copy, ready to paste. Please use it as written — these blocks are our signed-off wording.

Copy all three paragraphsNaming
- The name is Checkmate Live — two words, both capitalised.
- Not CheckMate, Checkmate.live or Checkmate-Live. CML can be used as shorthand for Checkmate Live — spell the name out in full on first mention, then CML is fine, as it is in interface labels and captions.
- In the logo the wordmark is set CHECKMATE. That styling belongs to the mark — don't set the name in all caps in running text to match it.
